After years of stay in darkness, the residents of Mumias East can now smile after their MP Hon. Peter Salasya began restoring light to the Constituency.

Taking to his media timeline, MP Salasya has informed the residents of Eshikufu that they will by the end of today enjoy light again and engineers are working on the faulty transformer that had rendered the area powerless for a while. Salasya has also revealed that the street lights of Shianda Mwitoti and Kagunda are being attended to and once the necessary gadgets are procured, the light will roar back.

The process of lighting Mumias East is said to have begun taking shape after Salasya appointed the Public Works Officer Austin Agita and his assistant Dennis Okumu in his Office to help him deliver the Promises he made to his people easily. Assigning them some work, Salasya demanded to know the number of transformers in Mumias East, those working and those fault, how many residents are being served by a single transformer and how many street lights are in good condition in his Constituency.
Salasya is one of the youngest politicians who floored big names to clinch a parliamentary seat.
