SPEECH BY HON. PETER KALERWA SALASYA, MP MUMIAS EAST My fellow Kenyans, My people of Western Kenya—Mulembe Nation, Let me speak plainly today. We, the Luhya community, have stood with Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga through thick and thin. We have voted for him loyally in every election, even when others doubted. We have filled his rallies, defended his vision, and given him numbers. In fact, ODM today has more Luhya MPs than Luo MPs. But when it comes to the table of national dialogue, appointments, and real decision-making—it is the Luo community that benefits most. We are seen during campaigns, but forgotten during governance. That is the painful truth. Enough is enough. Western Kenya is tired of being a voting machine. We cannot continue supporting a system that does not recognize our contribution. YouthConnekt is a platform designed to connect youth with various opportunities for their socio-economic transformation.
